DESTAQUES – Os editoriais de abertura foram elaborados por especialistas da University of Ljubljana (Eslovênia), The Ohio State University College of Medicine (EUA), The Abigail Wexner Research Institute (EUA) e Puerta del Mar University Hospital (Espanha) e abordam os seguintes temas: “Addressing mental health issues in immunocompromised adolescents with chronic diseases during the covid-19 pandemic” e “The importance of viral testing in infants and young children with bronchiolitis”.

Os artigos de revisão apresentam pesquisas sobre “Diagnostic accuracy of lung ultrasound for transient tachypnea: a meta-analysis” e “Multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C): a systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical characteristics, treatment, and outcomes”.

ORIGINAIS – Um dos 12 artigos inéditos da edição é o “Social school contacts of multibacillary leprosy cases in children living in the hyperendemic region of the Midwest of Brazil”. O trabalho mostra a alta prevalência de detecção do M. leprae entre os contatos sociais em áreas com precárias condições socioeconômicas.
